this must be it; welcome to the new year.
this year has been such a pivotal year in my life. i am finishing it with a 3.4 GPA and being almost 3/4 done with my bachelor’s degree. i completely deleted toxic people from my life, and am constantly reminded of how great of a decision that was. i found my way into one the most healthy relationships i’ve ever been in, and this year marks the fourth year i’ve had my best friend, mr. nicholas graham, by my side. i’ve gone a whole year without smoking, and am also very giddy to be finishing up the year without any accidental alcohol poisonings or unplanned pregnancies.
i don’t know why i’m so lucky to have such wonderful friends in my life. nick is everything to me, and has been the greatest best friend i could ask for. corey has proven how great of a choice it was for me to continuously humiliate myself in front of him in order to get his attention -which worked, by the way. alex never fails to show me time and time again how real and genuine he is. alfredo has been my drunk dance partner for so long that it feels wrong to dance with anyone but him. lindsey is the sweetest girl i’ve ever met, and it’s been so nice to watch her do great things. emi always has me damn near pissing myself from laughter, which has been really good for my constant stress.
i’m sorry if it seems like i’m bragging, which, fuck you, i am. i’ve been in such a bad place for the longest time and this was the year everything seemed to fall together. 2011 was fucking great. 2012 will be even better.
I feel so lucky to have known you and called you my best friend for the past four years, and I look forward to that for many years to come. I’m so proud of you and how much you have done. If anyone deserves this year to be great, it’s you.
